Push Notification Setup

Get trade and chart alerts pushed to your phone or computer in real time.
Turning them on takes about 30 seconds.

Step 1. Turn notifications on
Pick your device. You only have to do this once per device.
Desktop
Mac, Windows, Linux. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari.
  1. In the top right of the dashboard, find the small bell icon just to the left of the orange Dashboard button. Click it.
  2. When your browser asks for permission, click Allow.
  3. A test notification appears in the corner of your screen. If you see it, you're done. The bell turns green and reads Alerts: On.
Don't see the test? Your operating system may be muting browser notifications. A toast at the bottom of the dashboard will say "Didn't see anything? Fix it →". Click that link, then click the button to open your system's notification settings and switch your browser to Allow.
iPhone & iPad
Requires iOS 16.4 or later. Safari only.

Apple only allows web push from a home-screen-installed site. The dashboard you open directly in Safari will not work, you have to install it first.

  1. Open tradeintel.ca/dashboard/ in Safari. Chrome on iPhone won't work.
  2. Tap the Share icon (square with an up arrow at the bottom of Safari), scroll down, tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add. The shortcut should be labeled TradeIntel.
  3. Close Safari. Open TradeIntel from your home screen. It looks like a regular app.
  4. Sign in if you're not already signed in.
  5. Tap the small bell icon next to the TradeIntel logo at the top of the screen.
  6. When iOS asks for permission, tap Allow.
  7. A test notification arrives within a few seconds. The bell turns green when alerts are on.
Bell not turning green? Make sure you opened the app from the home screen icon, not by visiting the URL in Safari. iOS will not deliver web push from a regular Safari tab.
Android
Phone or tablet. Chrome, Edge, Brave, or any Chromium browser.
  1. Open tradeintel.ca/dashboard/ in Chrome.
  2. Tap the small bell icon next to the TradeIntel logo at the top of the screen.
  3. When Chrome asks for permission, tap Allow.
  4. A test notification arrives within a few seconds. The bell turns green when alerts are on.
Want it on your home screen? Tap Chrome's three-dot menu and choose Install app (or Add to Home screen). Not required for alerts to work, but it makes the dashboard load like a native app.
Step 2. Set up chart alerts
Scanner signals, position closes and covered call fills already reach you now that Step 1 is done. Chart setups are the ones you pick yourself.
Chart setup alerts
You choose the setup and the tickers. Checked after the close each weekday.

Build a combination of indicators on Smart Charts, save it, and be told the day it happens on the names you care about.

  1. Open Smart Charts and turn on the indicators you want. A gap up on two times average volume, say.
  2. Press Setups, type a name at the bottom of the box, and press Save. Or skip this and use one of the Preset Setups already in the list.
  3. Press the bell beside that setup's name.
  4. Type the tickers you want it watched on, separated by commas, then press Turn on.
Each setup and ticker gets its own notification, and tapping it opens the chart on that ticker. You will read something like High Volume Breakout fired on NVDA.
Changed your mind? The bell in the top right of the chart lists everything you have set. Pause one without losing it, delete it, or read every date it has fired.
